 How did you stop motion animation turn out? If you could give it a grade, what would you give it out of 60 points? What did you learn from creating this video?

I think my stop motion turned out great. If I could give it a grade out of 60, I would give it a 55 because my camera was very shaky. I learned that this is a cool alternative for an actual video.

Journal - How far along are you on your stop motion animation? What did you do over the weekend to work on you stop motion animation? Do you have all your pictures today? Will you have all your pictures by the end of the hour? Give me a detailed updated.
I have about 150 pictures so I need to take more. I did not have much time over the weekend to work on it until Sunday because I was out of town. I will have them finished by tomorrow morning though.

Journal - What are you planning on doing for your stop-motion animation video? What story are you going to tell? How will your video be fun and different? Who is taking your photos? When are you taking your photos?

I am going to build a building out of toothpicks. I am going to tell a story of a creation of a building from start to finish and then break it down again. It will be fun because i will have to get creative and I'll have to wait for every toothpick to dry. I will do it by myself and possibly have a friend help me. I will take them in Ellsworth, Kansas because that is where I'm going this weekend.

Journal - What photo editing tool(s) have you used so far on your 5 photos project? Do you like the tool? Is it easy to use? Hard to use? What's good about it? Whats bad about it? Give a detailed review of the tool.
So far we've used Pixlr and Photoshop Express. I have liked both these tools because they are simple, with the names and uses for each editing feature. You can easily select which photo you want to use and it will load it up quickly. There is nothing too bad about these editors but on Express, the feature to change the levels of each edit is kind of annoying.

Journal - What are the pros and cons to photo editing? What are some examples of when photo editing is fun and appropriate? When can photo editing be inappropriate or too much?

There are many pros such as being able to...

-make pictures clearer

-make a picture more vibrant and beautiful

-Fix blurriness

There are also many cons such as...

-Photo shopping models so they are perfect looking and it lowers other peoples self esteem.

-Making face pictures of someone to blackmail them.

Photo editing can be used in a fun way on picture sharing sites by making pictures have effects, backgrounds  borders, etc.

It can be a detriment when it is used for purposes such as blackmail and making models look better.

What is your favorite web tool that we have used in class so far this year? Why is it your favorite web tool? What do you like about it? How can you use it again in the future?

I have really enjoyed using Prezi this year. It is my favorite because of the ease of use and reliability. Mostly it's reliability, because many of the other tools have issues that don't allow me to use it at it's full capability. Also its ease to use because it allows a person like me who doesn't read directions to use the program. I will use it again in the future to create organized presentations in my classes or later in life.

Journal: Tell me about your weekend.

This weekend I got a haircut and some new clothes. I also had lunch with my grandparents at Jersey Boyz. I also sat up in my room all of Saturday and played GTA 5.

Journal - What makes a presentation memorable? What makes a presentation stand out and not boring? How are you going to make your presentation better than anyone else? How will you make it unique? Explain.

You will need to have a great hook for the presentation, they need to have information with lots of interesting facts or stats. The presenter needs to speak loud enough for the whole audience to understand them and make eye contact with all of the audience. I'm going to use these tips on mine to make it as good as I can.

Journal - What did you learn from the Ted Talk yesterday? Did you find it interesting or accurate? Explain.

I learned that technology is becoming a substitute for real, human interaction. People are using their phones so much that they don't know how to act with people. Some people even have their technology as a companion.

Journal - What do you love about the "digital age" that we currently live in? What do you dislike about it? What are positives ways you use technology in your life? What are some things that come along with technology that you don't like? Explain.

I like how we are able to have conversations with someone across the world within seconds. I also like being able to talk with friends online and being able to contact people when you need to. Things I dislike about the digital age are people being addicted to the internet and staying up late in the night on it. People who do that end up being tired all day. Also, I dislike when people who use the internet become very lazy and then end up gaining lots of weight and end up very unhealthy.

Journal - Tell me about your Homecoming weekend (whether you went to the activities or not!). Tell me about what you did over the weekend.

Instead of going to the homecoming dance on Saturday  I went over to one of my friend's house with a few other people who didn't want to go to the dance. We had some pizza, wings, bread sticks and a lot of mountain dew. Then we walked around the neighborhood for awhile and ended up at my house where we played video games. Then I fell asleep.

An infograpic is a group of pictures and captions displaying information about a topic. There can also be lists, charts, graphs, or other data displays in an infographic. People may use an infographic for their business, group, or personal use. They can be used to display information about a certain topic, to promote something, or to persuade someone to do something.

Journal - Most students view siting work as 'a pain in the butt'. How do you feel about it? Is it necessary? When is it appropriate to cite work? What's the importance of it?

I don't mind citing my work as long as its easy to cite. And usually it is. It is necessary to cite your sources all the time because it is wrong to not give somebody credit for their work. And some people get very angry if they don't get credit for something they did. It is always appropriate to cite because you would rather be safe than sorry.

Journal - What is your favorite book, magazine, or publication? Why?

My favorite book is The Hunger Games because it is one of the few books I enjoyed all the way through from beginning to end with no dull parts. It also contained a good message within it to keep fighting till the end no matter what. I also enjoyed all the plot twists and changes that happened during it.

Journal - Do you enjoy writing? What kind of writing do you enjoy? Why is writing an essential skill in life? How will you use this skill in the future?

I only enjoy some writing such as fictional stories and informative essays like the one we're working on. Writing is an essential skill in life because in almost every possible job you can get in the 21st century requires you to write at least minimally somewhere in the course of getting the job or actually working it. I will use this skill in my future for emails to people, essays and somewhere in the jobs I get.

Journal - What is creating an outline for a paper important? Do you think it helps you personally? How would you prefer to outline a paper - pen and paper or an online tool? Is there a different way you know if that would prefer to organize your thoughts?

Creating an outline for a paper is important because you need a backbone for your paper, so you know what you're doing when you write the paper. It does help me personally because then I have a "backbone" to write my paper off of. I prefer an online tool like bubbl.us because it conforms to my learning better. The only other way I can outline a paper is by paper and pencil.
